I like cats and dogs.i also like to grow plants around the home to add colour, greenery and blooms for the insects like bees, butterflies and birds to feed on and human beings to admire.

Pets and plants all add colour to my home. I like them. I care for the them and make sure they grow healthy, strong and beautiful. I sometimes get compliments for my plants and pets whenever visitors come to our home

I admire my plants and pets. The only difference between them is, pets keep moving, jumping and being playful while plants stay in one place. Plants I grow in pots I sometimes move them around whenever situations allows. But plants I grow on the ground take roots and stay in one place at the mercy of weather and man’s decision to uproot them to build homes, killing them in the process.

I want the best for my potted plants so I move them around often for sunlight and shelter from good and bad weather. I also keep them away from pests and diseases.  I move them around because of pets and human beings. They sometimes are enemies to my plants.

Good and bad exist together.My plants suffer most because we move places alot. Some plants we dug up died so I replaced them with new ones from our local flower market.

Recently we added a new pet dog to our already adopted stray cat named Gel Ket. She has two different colours to her eyes. One eye is clear greyish blue and the other eye colour is orange brown.

We named the puppy Bobby. Like Bobby in the movie titled”Bobby Tear Drops”. The puppy Bobby is bubbly and very playful and naughty.

Bobby playfully bites off all the plants in the pots . He especially likes to bite off cactus plants like the toy cactus we see in shops and cartoons. We call and scream at him to calm him down but he never stops. When we go close to him, he quickly dashes off and when you go upstairs to cook or change, he comes again and bites off another  plant. This time he rans all over the potted plants knocking them here and there in a mess!

Actually, I come downstairs to see my plants in a mess and two things happen stimulstanously, I angrily scream and laugh my gut out till tears drop off my face when I see Bobby innocently in a playful dog smile dashing off quickly when you pick up something hard to hit him hard with your might but with a miss!

I don’t  like running around chasing him so I bought a chain to tame him.  While Bobby is eating and resting peacefully, Gel Ket is actually acting strange. There is plenty of space for her to poo but decides to sit her ass in the pots and dishes where I plant variegated kalanchoe to poo and pee. In the process, she dug up all my plants with the roots. Now I have lost all my imported variegated kalanchoe.

Recently, I got some from the bits and pieces of kalanchoe that have been smashed to nurse and replace them, making sure the cat doesn’t shit on them again. I feel sorry for my plants but now they are growing so well.

Now our cat and puppy are tamed and behave so well. They don’t disturb my plants. My plants are growing healthy again.
